Windows XP (Media Center Edition, Service Pack 3) will not detect my JVC DV Camera (GR-DV3000U) via the DV Cable. Camera turned on in play, rebooted windows, etc., bit it still just won't detect it. Device manager shows no conflicts and IEEE has no Exclamation points through them. I've installed the supplied JVC software but it really seems to have no effect. If I can remember correctly, this PC (Dell XPS 410) detected my DV camera a couple years ago but now, possibly one of the Windows XP service packs I've installed over time no longer reads the camera?
Does this scenario ring any bells with anyone or any ideas that might figure out a way to get this detected so I can capture some video?
Any help is GREATLY appreciated.

Yes, I just hooked it up through a DVHS player via the DV cable so looks like the camera is fine. Any other ideas?
