    Good evening

    A program displays the following:

" Block the main executable in your firewall software "

I have the Windows Firewall. How can I do that?

    Thanks for the help. Cheers.

I've never had much faith in Windows Firewall, but go to 'Control Panel>Windows Firewall' and on the left side of the page there should be a 'Advanced settings'. Click that and scroll down to 'View and create firewall rules'. You should see a listing there for Inbound and Outbound Rules. Find your program there and see if you can block it.

This info is for Windows 7, since I don't have any XP machines running at present. But it should be similar to XP.

If you want a more reliable and better performing firewall, consider the free version of Comodo or one of the other popular freeware firewalls. Comodo takes a while to set itself up, but it protects much better on incoming and outgoing packets. Outgoing blocking was always one of MS's firewall weaknesses.

    Hello, redwudz.

Your receipt is not valid for my Windows XP. But I followed it and I managed block the program.

    Thank you.

    Cheers.
