Is their a way to get around this error in virtualdubmod? Because dowloading codecs (xvid) is not working!
Plz help
[!] Couldn't locate decompressor for format 'xvid' (unknown).
VirtualDub requires a Video for Windows (VFW) compatible codec to
decompress video. DirectShow codecs, such as those used by Windows Media
Player, are not suitable. Only 'Direct stream copy' is available for this
video.

 BTW
 Try latest Jawor's Xvid build.
 Warning applies to xvid.
Thanks placio will give that a try and report back here!

	No, not same.
Xvid codec inserts XVID FourCC code (and this is expected later to handle).
FFmpeg encoder by default inserts xvid FourCC code (ffdshow VfW can handle this).

From latest Jawor's Xvid build changelog:
The VfW decoder recognizes both lower- and uppercase FourCCs
 Other ways...
 - set Ask for extended options after this dialog when open file in VirtualDub and use Force video format FOURCC code to XVID,
 - or use FourCC Changer and fix FourCC code,
 - or use ffdshow VfW which can handle lowercase FourCC.VideoAudio.pl - Serwis o technologii wideo & audio

I always thought it odd that the official (koepi's ?) didn't support LC 4cc . No biggie, at least there's an alternative.
