  1. Hello,

I am trying to convert a DVD to MP4.

I am having problems converting DVD's that I used DVD shrink to rip.

    1st I use VOB2MPG
2nd I use SUPER to convert to MP4
3rd I copy it over using PSP Video 9.

Every time I copy over the video to my PSP it tells me file not recognized.

Not sure what I am doing wrong. I even tried using Handbrake but that gives me a different error. After converting the video it will not play right.

I have tweak the setting on both SUPER and Handbrake and I am not sure what I am doing wrong.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    You are converting twice?
(once with SUPER and again with something called PSP)
    Why?

I'd rip the disc(if it's not copy protected too badly) with DVDDecrypter - IFO Mode - File Splitting NONE first.
Then....Load it up in AviDemux and output it to Xvid/Divx from there.
I'm not sure the exact properties for PSP....you should be able to match it....maybe.

Are you sure you're placing the converted videos in the correct folders on the PSP? I believe the PSP's rather picky about that. (I don't remember which videos go where, though, sorry.)

As I recall, when you're using the PSP preset in SUPER (you probably shouldn't change anything after you select that preset - as I mentioned, the PSP does tend to be picky), it also places the output video in a folder with the same name as the folder it should be placed in on the PSP - though I don't remember if it includes the entire directory tree (as empty folders) when it does that.

I also don't remember if PSP Video 9 tells you where the video should be placed... but I thought they also had a 'library' feature that would attempt to copy the video to the correct location on the PSP?

AVIDemux has a PSP preset, as well (Auto > Sony PlayStation Portable). I haven't tried using it, though. (Haven't encoded anything for the PSP in ages.) Don't see why Sony can't just add DivX/Xvid support for the PSP...
If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them?
