Ok maybe this is not the right place to post this one but I don't know so I'm going to try.
I have this AVI video file of my old TekWAR TV series. And one of the video files is broken at 38 min. in. It won't convert to any other format for repair, using ffmpeg. It breaks at that time and just ends the conversion. In vdub it just freezes at that time, although I haven't tried re-exporting it in vdub yet, I'm going to right now and see what happens. When I play it in Mpc it freezes up the program at that time.
What software and what can I do to repair this AVI file? Any ideas?
Thanks in advance. This is a classic, I can't loose it ha ha ha

Ok just tried both DivFixPP and DivXRepair and no go here is what divfixpp said to me, I'm attaching both pics. So it seems to be a crc problem, any ideas?

Ok fixed it, sort of ha ha. For those in the future who want to know. VirtualDub, find the parts that freeze and just remove then resave. The good thing is that vdub though it will look like its freezing it, give it a bit it will come back and you can then select the area you want to erase from the file. VDub works like a charm. Thanks for the help.
