    hey all,
    how to convert a dvd to divx or xvid
    but i want to add a .srt instead of the subs within the dvd, straight to the divx file

    free software or not no prob

    Many of the free converters in the tools section will allow you to add srt streams. Alternatively just convert your DVD to avi with your favourite tool and then use AVI-Mux_GUI to add the subtitle stream.

    I have had some subtitles that where a bear to convert to srt so I lazy and used FairUse Wizard, it worked for what I was doing
