Nero Recode help

How does one get past the copyright protection? I am trying to play with Nero Recode to see if it works like DVD Shrink. but it seems like it will not let me get past the copyright protection like Shrink can.

You must rip with another tool like install AnyDVD, DVD43 or rip with dvdfab decrypter.

Or use DVD Shrink.

got it thanks! I have used DVD Fab decrypter before. But too bad it does not have the options to remove subtitles and secondary languages like Shrink does. Does AnyDVD, DVD43 let you remove stuff to increase quality?

Just use anydvd or dvd43 in the background and rip with dvdshrink and remove what you want with dvdshrink since anydvd/dvd43 removes the protection.

How do you use in the background (at the same time as DVD Shrink)? I thought you have to use one after the other.

Anydvd/dvd43 stays in the background to remove protection,dvdshrink does the ripping.You can use anydvd to rip the dvd but it doesnt shrink or remove anything.

Shrink can get past standard copy protection (CSS) but not the newer methods such as ArCoSS that Sony, Disney and Lionsgate use.

ahh, thank you. There should be a new dvd shrink that allows CSS and arCoSS =)

So basically, programs like DVD Fab Decryper remove all the encyrption and copy right protection like CSS and ArCoSS but nothing else. DVD Shrink allows you to put DVD Movies on a smaller sized DVD5 (4 GB). There is no one-in-all?

Dvdfab also shrinks and removes audio and video and subtitle tracks.

There won't be a new version of Shrink because the author of shrink works for Nero - he wrote Recode for them.
