I have Lord of the Rings which I downloaded from the web and want to convert to either vcd or svcd. I have used TMPGEnc both times and both times when i play it either on my pc or dvd player there is no audio!!
any ideas would be welcome !!!

Thanks - that solved it! The problem i have now is that in parts of the film there is a low almost buzzing/vibrating sound whenever there is speaking.......
thanks for the advice though -
For the buzzing/vibrating sound....
...take the empty plate and fork off of your subwoofer before playing the movie !!

I've yet to use TMPG Encoder without some kind of problem. I've therefore reserved it for demultiplexing. I use Ulead DVD Movie Factory for conversions, cutting and merging. Like TMPG, it only redoes a recording if it's required, and is far superior at cutting on the mark you set.
It was a bad deal for $29.95
