I'm using the latest copy of HD DVD FAB and ripping the "Movie Only" to disk. I then use DVD Shink and burn the ripped files to my DVD. I can play the DVD just fine on the PC or another DVD Player - but when I try to play them on a new LG Home Theater system with built-in Blue-Ray disk it only see's the disk as a data disk, not a movie. So it won't play it. Any suggestions? Do I need to somehow finalize the disk differently for the BD player to see it is a movie? On the LG unit I can browse the disk and see the Video/Audio directories.

I've been using DVD FAB/Shink for a long time now - so pretty familiar with the steps - just something strange with the LB BD Player that is now new to me.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Either change to the Imgburn version of DVD shrink so it uses Imgburn to burn the disc, or output to a HDD folder, then use Imgburn to burn the results.

From time to time this is a known problem with the blanks, the "+" or "-" sometimes even the brand can have that effect. I have seen this with Panasonic dvdrs and Maxwell in the earlier days. It was a lot more common with earlier dvd players.

Ok, is there an easy way to tell DVD Shrink to use imgburn instead of the default Nero, that it looks for?

If the only issue is that one dvd player isn't playing them try a different type of disc first.

There is a version of Shrink specifically modified to use Imgburn. Download it from the Tools section (link to your left)

imgburn rocks - that did it. I guess that is the final death to DVD Shrink. Looks like I need to use imgburn going forward for it to work on my BlueRay player. Thanks for the help and quick responses everyone!!!!

DVD Shrink is not at fault. DVD Shrink does not burn anything. It uses the burning engine from either DVD Decrypter or Nero for burning, so which ever of these you were using was at fault.
