It's kinda hard to say unless you have the screen in front of you but the top one has some better specs and the bottom one has a DVI connector which is great for graphic cards now a days.

0.265mm vs. 0.266mm (the smaller the pixel the better)
10000000 :1 vs. 20000 :1 (the larger the number the more you can change you brightness I believe)

I know this probably didn't help much but as for the DVI I know you can get a connector that goes from HDMI to DVI so I would buy the one on the top. But always be sure to check for the customer reviews..

someone made a mistake and added a few zeros to the first one's contrast ratio. 10,000,000 is not even possible for an lcd. 10,000 is common. the second one has the better specs, 20,000 contrast with 300 brightness. cheaper after rebate too.

Yes it is. That monitor uses LED backlights. They simply turn off all the backlights to get the dark reading for a "dynamic" contrast ratio.

Manufacturers' reported contrast ratios are totally useless. In fact, most specs reported by manufacturers are useless, nothing more than marketing fluff. You have to see the monitors in question and/or find some independently produced specs.

Indeed. You may be able to use them when comparing products within the same manufacturer line but then they're probably all going to be about the same then anyway.

I would go for the LED LCD. I've really been enjoying mine and the color gamut on them (when you can get correct drivers for them) is a bit larger than the old CCFL counterpart. LED-LCD also draws less power and produces less heat than a regular LCD.
