    Hi.

I just got a Panasonic DMP-BD60 (Blu-Ray player) which is supposed to play AVCHD video through it's SD port. I'd like to convert some mp4 movies to avchd, drop them on an SD card and enjoy. I haven't had any luck finding an application that'll do this conversion (in OSX). Any tips?

    Thanks in advance,

    c.

Hi. Me again. No replies to this thread after a few days, but reading all the helpful stuff on this site is getting me closer. Again, my challenge is to convert various file formats to AVCHD so they'll be playable off SD card on my Panasonic BD60 Blu Ray player.

I've tried tsmuxer but it's not compatible with PowerPC Macs. I've tried VLC but the resulting .ts file wasn't playable on the BD. I've read the multiAVCHD site and that seems to be just what I need, except it's PC only.

So I'll keep checking out the MacOSX video tools here...

...but if anyone has a good tip that'd be great.

    Thanks.

Most of us do these types of conversion with Windows tools. iMovie and Final Cut convert AVCHD to AIC or ProRes but don't support AVCHD output last I looked.
