    I have a Panasonic DMP-BD60 player and I'm trying to create a AVCHD Disk (DVD-R) that will be playable.

    It plays the AVCHD videos off of my cameras SD cards just fine.

    I have tried several things, all of which the player says the disc is incompatible

    1) Burn the exact contents of the SD card from my camera to a DVD-R using Sonic Record NOW
    2) Using multiAVCHD to create direcory structure and then burning that to a DVD-R using Sonic Record NOW

    I have read one place that I can play AVCHD off of a disc on this player, then somewhere else it says you can't.

    This is from Panasonic; http://www.panasonic.ca/english/audiovideo/bluray/players/dmp_specs.asp

    According to http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=146339 it should work.

    Try burn with a different software like Imgburn and maybe try different dvd-r media.

    I had the same problem with that Panasonic model. I burn my disks with Image Burn and it made no difference. It would not play any DVD9 burned as BlueRay or AVCHD. I returned it and bought a Sony BX2.

  8. Try tsMuxer and output to AVCHD. Burn with ImgBurn.

    According to Baldrick's link above, tsMuxer versions 1.9.6 to 1.9.9, output to AVCHD, have been reported to work on that player. DVD-R should be no problem, so long as you're not using crap media.

    Good luck.

    I'll leave out the obvious steps;

    To do this easily there are two apps you will need "multiAVCHD" & "ImgBurn"

    1) Use multiAVCHD utility to create the output directory. Make sure you select playback type of "AVCHD for Optical Media" and choose "AVCHD Players". You can also create menus etc with this utility. I'll leave it to you to read the instructions for this app.

    2) Then burn the contents of the output directory using ImgBurn. Make sure you burn what is inside the AVCHD directory, not that directory itself. If you are using ImgBurn it should autosense what you are trying to do and change the Disk to UDF 2.5 format.

    3) Make sure your Panasonic player has the latest firmware.
