Hi everybody.
I'm using AviDemux2 to encode video-files for my portable media player. The xvid-settings that I use result in files that play perfectly on my standalone DVD-player. However they won't play on my portable device until I re-save them in AviDemux2 using the "copy"-mode for audio and video. The only difference I notice between the two files is the size of the AVI-header which seems to be slightly smaller after re-saving the file.
Anybody got a clue what's happening here? And how can I detect what exactly is changing when the file is being saved for the second time?
I know about the Hex-Editor/Riff-Chunk-Viewer in VirtualDub but don't know how to use it/what to look for.
