  1. I am new to creating VCD's, but made my first successful one today. I used PowerVCR for the capture, but would prefer to use VirtualDub as it is freeware. The only problem is that I am having a hard time tuning into the channel when using VirtualDub. In PowerVCR it's easy to dial in channel 3 and record from my VCR, but when doing a capture with VirtualDub I can't seem to "find" the video signal. Any help would be much appreciated.

You need to set the channel with the WinTV proggie first, then open VirtualDub. Also make sure you are not in composite but in tuner.
