Hi!
I have exported all my audio in a shortfilm Im editing as omf-files into protools where Im doing the soundediting. Im now going to export it back into final cut and have some questions:
1) What meter level should I be on in protools? what shall be the loudest level?
2) I made at test and exported a -12 db tone from final cut.
In protools it went up to 0db.
when i exported it back into final cut through bounce the tone went to 0db there as well. but -6db when I exported it as a file from the region list. but never -12 db as it was at first. without doing any amplifying in protools. just by exporting and bouncing.
WHY!!!???
3) what format should i use for exporting?
i guess 48 khz. my problem is i made my recording in 44 khz because i have got an external device I use for fieldrecording that just record in 44 and not 48. so the protools session is in 44. is it any problems of exporting it as 48 khz or can I do the conversion in final cut? or can I keep the 44 khz 16 bit without problems?
thanks!!
