    Hi!

    Ive been using Protools for several years and recently started with filmediting. Im editing in Final Cut and have just cut my first film almost done and want to start to edit the sound in ProTools. The problem is that I hoped it in my imagination that it would be possible to

    1) cut the video in Final Cut,
    2) import everything into protools.
    3) Cut the audio in Pro Tools with the possibility of viewing the video as well
    4) export everything back into final cut.

    is this possible in some way? havnt looked som close yet but seems to be possible to this thing in soundtrack pro

    how do I manage to do this in the best way? I would like to use protools because ive used it a lot and like the program

    The Majority of us roundtrip
    ( that is the techinical term for what you are trying to achieve)
    from FCP to Soundtrack Pro and back.
    Yes, you can preview the film in Soundtrack Pro as you score it;
    once done you can then export your audio back into FCP and then
    finalize your film to final delivery format.

    Since I don't use ProTools, I can't comment on the possiblity
    of using it in place of Soundtrack Pro, however, you might try
    asking your question here.
