I have a Drive LG GGW - H20L to record and copy BD.

I have already ripped with AnyDVD and backup with BD Rebuilder a BD Movie for burn in a BD-RE the output file of BD Rebuilder already in my HDD.

So I need now to buy a BD-RE but I have heard that there are some versions of BD-RE like 2.1, 3.0 and so on.

    Is that right??

Wich one should I pick for burning my video output from BD Rebuilder.

    Thanks.

Are you sure you want BD-RE's, not BD-R's?

BD-R's offer faster write times, cost less, and may offer higher compatibility

I buy Vinpower BD-R's to back up my fav BD movies (10 pack for $34.99USD)

    unless you want rewriteability

Thanks for your infos but here all them are very expensive so how I am in my first BD burning I would like first test to see if all is ok.

So I should buy a BD-RE to test before and if everything is ok then I will go for a BD-R.

So is there a specific version of BD-RE or can I use anyone??

Thanks again, remember I have Drive LG GGW H20L for burning BDs.

from the little research I have done so far it seems that those lower spec discs were manufactured in 2007, and I doubt you will run into any today

    Hi,
If it is 25 GB BD-RE you are looking for, I have tried Memorex BD-RE 25GB, Verbatim, Philips, and
one LG. LG started to go bad after 8-10 use. Whereas the others seem to be good.
I have same burner as you have. I got BD-RE 3 pack from frys.com for 19.99 + shipping a while ago.
I have been using Memorex BD-R 25 GB. They work very well

    Thanks

Yes it is BD-RE 25 GB.

I had one LG 25 GB BD-RE also that came with the LG Drive but it was quite bad.

It died after tree burnings and is impossible to erase it.

I load it and it stay there forever.

But finally I think that nowadays BD-RE has a standard version so I can buy one without worry about versions.

    Is it that???

If it was my decision, I would pick Verbatim out of that list.

    Stay away from the LG.
The one (BD-RE) that came with the Drive was bad. After bugging the LG for 6 weeks they sent a replacemnt.
That was not good. After 6 or so rewrites, it died. pick memorex or verbatim.
