  1. I guess I still consider myself a newbie at this point, but I've had success using TMPGE for conversion of raw captured files from my Optura Pi. I completed my first project using Premiere 6.01 and TMPGE won't read the avi file. I used the standard (default) export settings in Premiere. Any thoughts?

That's a "no" and I'd guess that's the problem. I'm on it.....I'll post up results.

  4. Ok, installed the plugins, and I don't have the selection for the plugin when setting up the export rules. I verified the plugin file was in the appropriate folder, although there were subfolders in the Plugin directory under Premiere. Any thoughts on how to get this plugin to show up?

  5. did you export the video and audio separately, tpmgenc wont read the dv file when video/audio are exported together.
with avisynth you have to save a notepad file with the exported file name, and save the note file as a .avs for TPMGEnc to read it.

  6. No, I exported the entire project. Wasn't aware that I had to separate the audio from the video. One thing I've learned. This isn't point and click that's for sure.

  8. Just used Premiere 6.01 to capture (720x480) a 2:25 min movie (13 Days) off digital cable in the AVI format, opend with VirturalDub, resize to 352x240, did a Frameserve to TMPGEnc. Worked like a champ, VCD came out great. Used the Standard VCD Templates in TMPGEnc 2.52
