I just started using Sony Vegas Movie Studio. I was able to bring in the video I captured with my Sony DCR-SR85 and edit and create the movie. But when I rendered the movie, the audio and video stared ok for about 2 minutes and then the audio became choppy, start and stop. But video is fine. Any one had this problem and was able to solve this? I have Windows XP Home with Dell XPS 400 (Intel Dual Core 2.8GHz Processor). I have about 40 GB free space and rendered video is only 1GB.
Thanks for your help

What are your export encode settings? "Render as"? Recommends: Kiva.org - Loans that change lives.

I have tried both VLC and Windows media player, same result. Are there any better formats to use. I want to eventually burn DVD to play on the DVD player on a TV. If there are better formats I can render as, please let me know. Thank you very much for replying to my post.

Your camcorder is MPeg2. Normal for DVD is MPeg2. There should be a default for DVD under "Render As".

But VCD should require minimal hardware and player.Recommends: Kiva.org - Loans that change lives.
