Recently all flash video sources I access are silent. The video plays, but no sound. This started well after I'd installed Flash 9 (since updated to 10). Happens in both FF3 and IE. I've searched for suggestions, checked through Mozillazine, but no joy. I've uninstalled and re-installed Flash Player, no difference. Running XP Pro SP2 on a P4 2.53 Mhz CPU. 2.5 GB Ram. Sound card works fine, plays everything else.
Any thoughts or pointers?

Always code as if the one who winds up maintaining your code is a dangerous psychopath and knows where you live.

For Firefox:
1. Click your start menu and enter: Regedit.exe in your search bar and run it.
2. Navigate to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\LowRegistry\Audio\PolicyConfig\PropertySt ore
3. Press CTRL+F and enter firefox.exe
4. In the bottom of the window, you will see the full key name containing the firefox entry. It will be similar to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\LowRegistry\Audio\PolicyConfig\PropertySt ore\f8ef7687_0
Right click that key in the left pane of Regedit and delete it.
5. Enjoy your audio."Google is your Friend -
You may also want to check the flash settings.
