Hi; I recently used DVD Shrink to remove two custom Spanish subtitle streams from an ISO file; the output was Video_TS and Audio_TS folders. However, the streams still show up in the VLC subtitles options menu, although when selected no subtitle picture is rendered. I played the same Video_TS folder on MPlayer, which didn't notice any subtitle streams and had no subtitle options, as I was hoping for. Why does VLC still think there are subtitle streams in my DVD?

Is there actually something still in my DVD files that is causing VLC to think spanish subs exist? If so, could you give me some advice on how to get rid of this data? It may be of some value to note that I tried removing the subtitles with DVDFab as well, with similar results to DVD Shrink.

    Thanks for any help!

I think you have to use pgcedit to remove the subtitle information. But I'm not sure exact how.

First off, thanks for replying; I've posted this question to 2 other forums now including VLC's, and haven't received so much as one comment in over 5 hours uptime. I'll take a look at PgcEdit and post again if I find anything.

Edit: Wow it recognized the problem right away:

    Code:
There are 2 subpic streams defined for the VTST domain in the VTSI_MAT table of the VTST 1. 0 subpic streams are really used by the PGCs. Fix the number of subpic streams in VTSI_MAT to 0?
Autofixed and looks good. 8) Will definitely be sticking around this forum!
