    anybody has the same symptoms..
    i believe ie8 should be faster than ie7 in terms of start so what is going on?
    any fix available?

    Do you use Spybot? There's apparently an issue with Spybot's immunization for IE clashing with IE8, causing slow startups. (Or any other software which might add a lot of entries to the Restricted Sites list.)
    If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them?
