I have a 70 minutes avi file and try to convert it into MPEG by TMPGEnc, I found out it shows as 334881 frames when I open it with TMPGEnc, that's nearly 3 hours! after converting 70 minutes, the rest is just black screen with some logo, but the program keeps running. I tried to stop it and play the converted MPEG file, it has no sound
Does anybody know why a 70 minutes movie shows up as 3 hours? and why I didn't get sounds in the converted mpeg ?
thanks

You mean 3 hours to convert, not the film length, dont you? Have you capture the AVI file your downloaded it from Internet? the blank screen may mean that you miss some codecs to open the file...

I meant , the movie length became 3 hours!
anyway, I figured it out the reason. The AVI source is 23.97f/s, I shoud choose "VideoCD NTSC film " as a template instead of "VIdeoCD NTSC" -
I had that same problem, and i just extract the audio with Virtualdub, use the wave as audio source in TMPGEnc,and voila the frames are correct, and the mpg file works..
