I am trying to burn a homevideo that I captured with Windows Media Maker.

Dvd Flick says that it is corrupt or trunacted.
I was able to burn it with Favc, but after a few minutes the audio is not in sync.
VirtualDubMod throws cant locate decompressor for format dvsd & avi type-1 dv file detected cannot extract audio from this type of interleaved stream.

What can I do to burn this video correctly. Capture it with a different program or run some tool and correct the video?

  2. what was the source of the video? looks like it might be a miniDV cam, but captured to type I DVavi instead of type II. also the audio is 12 bit not 16 bit but that can be dealt with.

try converting the DVavi to type II with the Canopus DV File Converter and see if that helps.

if it is off of a minidv cam you can capture with windv directly to type II DVavi. it's in the config section.
