Hi all. I produce corporate video. I've rendered a finished product in Premiere using the codec that came with my firewire card (DPS SPark Card with DV soft codec.) I am using the Nero 5 software and trying to create a svcd. I've tried all the different bitrates available in the wizard but still come up with the same results. The video and sound are choppy, seemingly playing 1/2 second chunks at time. My system is an Avalon 1.7 with 512 of ram. Drives are 7200 rpm. Thanks for any help that can be offered.

Do NOT use Nero's encoding or authoring! it creates BAD encoded quality files, and non-standard authoring!
Use TMPGEnc, CCE, LSX or any other Encoder to encode your AVI file, and use TSCV, VCDeasy, VCDWizard or any other Authoring program to make your SVCD!Email me for faster replies!
