  1. I recently changed my video card from ati to nvidia. I used to be able to clone my desktop without any issues with the ati card. Now, I'm trying to do the same with my nvidia card. I've got a nvidia GeForce 8600GT. I'm using the s-video to rca adapter in the tv out. This runs to an rf modulator box. My audio also runs to it. I connect via rg6 cable to a switch, that's goes onto channel 4. I'm doing it this way, as my pc is quite a distance (other room) from the tv in the living room.

I've tried using the nvidia control panel to do this. I use the force tv detection & reboot. It detects. From there, nothing works. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I see the problem. The TV must be detected by the NVidia card at boot to activate the S-Video out. There may be a force TV mode in the TV menus but to get there you need to connect a TV. Catch22?

I'm not connected to a TV currently so can't explore the menu.

  3. I've already used the force tv detection. It detected the tv & that's about as far as I can get. It's to actually get it to work now.
