i am trying to clone sata2 system winxp disk with seagate wizard tool
older 1000GB - > to newer 1500GB (c=95gb/d=1200gb)
all went fine, but system does not want to boot from new hdd!
older hdd has jumper to limit speed 1.5gb and newer does not have but i tried even newone with or without jumper and it wont help..
it says by boot windows cant start due to hardware disk configuration
anybody can give me idea what is wrong?
(i have done the same previously with older hdd 750->1000gb also before and all was OK)

Have you checked your BIOS settings? Make sure the new drive shows up. (Usually the first BIOS page) Then go to the boot selection page and see if it's listed as the first boot device. (Or the first HDD boot device.)
BIOS should see the drive, or you may have a bad data cable.
If everything is fine in BIOS, then your boot.ini on the new drive may be messed up and the startup programs can't find the boot files.
That 1.5 jumper rarely has any use. I would leave it at the default setting.
Does the new HDD have multiple partitions? If you are using a 1TB or 1.5TB drive for boot, not really a good idea, IMO. XP only needs a 80G or even a 40GB HDD. If you are just using the rest of the drive for archiving, not too bad. But for capturing or other disc intensive use, the OS will likely want to use the controller just when you want to use the drive for capture and you may start dropping frames.
