I occasionally use my Samsung television as a computer monitor. To get the display from the computer to fit the screen I have been using the P-Size button to switch from 16:9 to Just Scan. When I select Just Scan, the picture fits fine, but after about an hour it switches back on its own to 16:9, which clips off the edges of the picture. How do I get it to stay formated for my computer.

If this is the wrong forum, or not an appropriate question for this community I appoligize. I found this forum when I was doing a search for the answer. Thanks in advance for any help.

  2. I have an older Samsung model and it doesn't have that problem. It stays where I put it (just scan, 16:9, etc). I would check for a firmware update from Samsung.

You might have better luck finding information here:

Thanks for the reply. I looked over that thread and did not see anything about my problem.

I know how to update drivers, software ect on a computer, but don't have a clue about how to update firmware on a television.

It's pretty easy but you'll have to check the specifics of your TV. In general, you download the file, put it on a USB thumb drive, then put the drive in the USB port on the TV. You may have to navigate through the menus and elect to update the firmware.

Thanks. Sounds simple enough. I had visions of myself with a magnifing glass and soldering gun.
