I have a video file that was encoded like as described in the attached image.
(GSpot "says" the audio is: 0x0055 MPEG-1 Layer 3 - 48000Hz 128 kb/s tot , Joint Stereo-Codec(s) Installed. And the video is: XVID - XviD 1.2 SMP - Codec(s) are Installed)
I have tried to use the convertion method that was described on the DivX -> VCD conversion page.
But, when I use VitualDub (1.3c) I get no image and a message that "Video Source AVI error unspecified error (-100), and when I try to "strip" the audio I get this message:
ACM
Failed to suggest audio compression format
Then I get VitualDub's error reporting window followed by the "illegal operation" pop-up
What am I doing wrong?
I can play the file with-out any problem in my other players, yet when I try to convert it I either get video with-out audio. Or, as in the case of VitualDub, nothing.
What am I doing wrong this time![]()

Will the Wonders of Windows Ever End
What is the "HE double hockey sticks" is going on?
How can the same application at first tell you something can't be done, and then turn around and do it anyways?
But, who am I to look a "gift horse in the mouth."
I just should be happy that a Windows application works! :P
THanks for the help.
