I am using Sony vegas and Im editing a movie with one still image which I need in colour and lots of smaller clips which I need in black and white. I have tried using keyframes for b & w but this is a is a nightmare. Does any member know how to apply a filter to each clip and leave the still image in colour?

-Or is there a way of taking .vob or mpeg2 and desaturating. I could use virtualdub but it means encoding to avi. I don't want to convert to avi I want to desaturate the image in mpeg2.

Does anybody know how I might solve my problems.

    Peace to all

Put the still image son one track (timeline), and the clips on another. Apply the black and white filter at the track level for the clips so all are affected at the same time. Anything not on that track is not touched.
