Yes! Thats my question. I want to import VirtualDub noise removal filters into Sony Vegas. I've heard that there is some plugin for doing that.
Can any kind soul help me to solve this issue?![]()

It appears you can frameserve a video after filtering in VirtualDub to Vegas or frameserve a video from Vegas out to other programs. Some info here: https://forum.videohelp.com/topic250830.html
Not sure about using VD filters with Vegas itself, though. You may be looking for the ' Plugin Pac Adapter by Satish Kumar '. But www.debugmode.com doesn't work for me. I can't find it on a search except on that site.
Hope that helps. -
WAX2 can also be run as a plugin in Vegas and can use some filters, or you can use the Debugmode frameserver to serve from the Vegas timeline and see if virtualdub can read it.
Personally, I do the filtering first, save to a lossless format, then edit.Read my blog here.

Thanks for your replies.
Yes, this Plugin Pac Adapter would be best, but I also couldnt found it. I tried Wax, but even after tweaking preferences, it kept saying after opening from Vegas FX window that "please wait..." and then "unable to find video event length. If you are running Vegas 4 and above, please check if you can run scripts because wax needs that."
So scripting is allowed in Vegas, there is no option to even disable that.
So my source video is mpg and cannot be opened in VDub. Its already a lossy format.
The point is that I want to find some good noise removal options for Vegas instead of Neat Video, which costs 100$ and makes rendering incredibly slow. There is one nice free noise removal plugin by Mike Crash, http://www.mikecrash.com/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=6
but it leaves some chroma noise and block noise. So VDub has filters for that, and I would like to use them.
Never done frameserving before. Could it be possible with mpg file? -
The latest versions of VirtualDub can read MPG files with the right plugin.

Or you could use VirtualDubMPEG2 or VirtualDubMod which have built in MPEG decoders.
AviSynth can frameserve MPG files with DGMpegDec.

There are restriction on the type of filters you can use. Most work, but I believe that many temporal filters cannot because of the way they have to look at previous, current and future frames. This cuts out many noise reduction filters.

I can see WAX FILTER 1, WAX FILTERS 2....WAX FILTERS 5 and under them a whole variety of filters, and similarly WAX TRANSITIONS 1-5 under transisltions. But in neither case can I see the virtual dub plugin.
When I try and add effects from wax I get a message telling me that I need scripting (which seems to be on since I can use the VASST script from the tools scripting menu) or vegas crashes.
