ok I have a JVC XV S65, my first conversion was of an older divx to svcd and it worked great. beutiful picture and it played great I did it with an older version of TEMPGenc. Well now the problem. I got an svcd (LOTR) and burned it, when attempting to play on the JVC it stutters like a #%$@$!!! not all the time though. This is a very... shall we say common distro of this svcd... anyway I tried many things and could not fix it, I rencoded at diff bit rates etc. Then, I thought I would check the prior svcd to see what bitrate it was... I used Manzanita MPEGID to check the files and compare them. The only difference I can see is the "mux rate" It is almost double in the LOTR svcd. I cant find the calculation for "mux rate anywhere!! the only mention I could find was in a piece of software that says it will allow you to convert the mux rate: http://www.mediaware.com.au/M2-xcode-cl.html
I have been trying to solve this dilemma because until I do I cant bother encoding any more svcd or I will never know if it will work or not.
P.S.- I tried all kinds of permutations of decreasing bitrate, multipass VBR, re-encoding audio, de-muxing and re-muxing.. arrrrgggg!!! HELP![]()
