    I'm trying to convert a .ts file into x264 .mkv with 29.97 frame rate, but I can't find any setting for me to do that? Can someone help? The original source frame rate is like 60 fps...

  2. Edit the .avs and add:

    SelectEven()

  4. If the original framerate's 59.94fps, SelectEven removes every other frame making the framerate 29.97fps, keeping it the same length, which is what you originally asked. There are several ways to get it to 37fps, but one might reasonably ask, "Why"?

    I am new to using Staxrip and I am also looking to reduce the frame rate from a 60fps source file down to 29.97fps. Could someone give a step-by-step of how to edit the .avs as Manono suggested to add SelectEven()? I can't seem to figure this out. I'm using Staxrip version 1.1.7.0 beta in case it helps. Thanks!

    In the StaxRip window, on the left under 'Filters' > 'Field' > 'Advanced' > 'Select Even'.
