hi everyone i have a mpg file that i would like to cut into 4 different parts when i set the start and end points i want to cut and save the file i load it up in media player but there is no audio, i have the audio and video set to copy in the avidemux settings am i doing something wrong?
if anyone could help me out id be so greatfull

If I'm not mistaken....cutting on a "key frame" is important when copying. I could be wrong though.

thanks 4 the replies i have tried all the different formats and still have no luck i want to keep the spilt files as avi files dont want them in dvd format just dont understand why the audio wont work the original mpg file works fine on media player very strange indeed

Another approach would be to split the VOB's first with mpg2cut2, then encode to XviD/AVI while retaining the original AC3 or MP2
