  1. Hey guys, now Im a bit clueless as to how to use ffmpegx especially since for some reason I cant load any of the pages on the official site.

All im wanting to do is desperately encode an .avi movie file to .m2v to use with DVD Studio Pro to burn dvd movies. I was using an old version of compressor but thats bombed out on me totally since Ive upgraded to an intel imac. Ive been going through the options and settings on ffmpegx to encode the avi file, and I select everything i think i need to encode to m2v, but nothing seems to give me that after trying out a whole bunch of different settings. it will only result in giving me .ff .mpg .mpv files...

can anyone tell me exactly what all i need to set to encode this damn avi file to m2v?

oh and im currently using version 0.0.9y

    Thanks in advance!

.mpv = .m2v = the elementary stream file with MPEG-2 video.
So you may rename foo.mpv to foo.m2v if that helps importing into DVD SP assets.

  3. Great! If its just a matter of renaming to m2v for DVD SP compatibility, then im sorted! thanks man =)
