Well i have this M2V file with this details:
    -Video : 59 MB, 2496 Kbps, 29.970 fps, 480*480 (16:9), MPG2 = MPEG 2 (SVCD/DVD),

using VirtualDub-MPEG2 1.6.19 i convert this file to an avi filewith thsi details:
    -Video : 17.50 MB, 785 Kbps, 29.970 fps, 480*480 (1.0:1), DX50 = DivXNetworks Divx v5,
    -Audio : 5.67 MB, 256 Kbps, 44100 Hz, 2 channels, 0x2000 = AC-3 ACM Codec, CBR, ,

In the end i got the avi file but with some horizontal lines, i dunno how it happens but is there any chance to get better results?

Sounds like an interlace issue, see http://www.100fps.com/ . You can add a deinterlace filter in Virtuldub under Video->Filters.

I try this filter as you told me, but i'm not so sure about the quality, i'm using Divx 6.6 Pro for encoding,, actually i set the Bidirectional coding in frame Control setting off, i don't even what it means but so far it seems to be working.
