    Hi, i took capture direct from a canon hdv camera into pinnacle studio and it created m2v & wav files, and my question is how do i convert them to avi file? or divx?

    What I do is open the M2V in VirtualDub Mod, (Rename the extension to .mpg if needed) then add the WAV audio. Use full processing on audio, along with the LAME MP3 ACM codec to create a MP3 audio and set your video compression to say, Xvid or Divx, then encode them both. You should end up with a AVI type file with the MP3 muxed with the video.
