    Hi,

I recently bought an LG home theater, model number HT302SD. The manual says that it supports VobSub subtitle format. I need this specific format because my subtitles are all in an "unsupported character set". So, the only way to show them is to use bitmap-based subtitles, which is the VobSub format.

The problem is that I couldn't get the VobSub subtitles to show while palying DivX files. The following descripes exactly what I did:
1- I named the DivX file as: m.avi
    2- I named the 2 subtitles files as: m.sub and m.idx
3- I put the three files in the same folder on a USB flash memory
4- I inserted the flash memory in the LG player which showed me the list on these files on the TV.
5- I ran the DivX file.
6- I tried to make the subtitles appear (by pressing the subtitles button on the remote control), but the LG player could not detect them.

Any idea on how to fix this probelm??

    Thanks a lot in advance.

    No solutions

I guess i will have to use the XSub format then... although I prefer the VobSub subtitles because of their ease of use.

Please note that some players refuse subtitles on usb connections.
