Export Full Quality iMovie '08

Okay. I've run into a pathetic problem here. I just got iMovie '08 and am trying to export this little clip.
This is what I want :

A full quality DV file so I can later convert it into .mov using MPEGStreamclip.

I used to do this in iMovie '06, but I don't want to drag the clips over from '08 to '06 and then export. That is just a retarded, complicated thing to do.

So how can I export from iMovie '08 in full quality?

no hope, you can access to your imovie'08 edit only via its export function (and the export function will remove "high quality")
check your iMovieEvent folder and do (again) the editi in iMovieHD (it will not suppress quality)

I don't think it's a stupid little problem, I think it's the main one!
iMovie '08 is an ergonomic app, but Apple choose ergonomy versus quality (Video is complex, and interlaced videos -like dv or HD1080i files- must be threat with a lot of attention). Apple chosed to remove quality (suppress half of the information) to make an easy and "funny" app.
Choose what you prefer: ergonomy (iMovie'08 ) or quality (iMovieHD), you can't have both
