    Hi,

I make Music DVD Compilations using VideoReDo, and I am having problems with the Pink Floyd Pulse DVD (and also with Morrissey Manchester and Queen Wembley). All DVD's are Original and in NTSC Format.

When I author the DVD, the DVD start to go in "Slow motion" and go out of sync completly. I do not know if there are any protection in these DVD's. They are the only DVD's with this problem.

With the Morrisey and Queen DVD, I re-encoded it with ConvertXtoDVD, and I got good results. But the Encode process degrade the picture.

Are there any program that I can use to solve this problem.

    Let me know

    Antonio Souza

Just about all commercial DVDs have some sort of encryption. Try using DVDFab HD Decrypter to rip the DVDs to your hard drive first.

Authoring shouldn't change anything in a DVD compliant MPEG/audio file. It's just a container to arrange the files into a DVD compatible format. I would check to see if the sync problems occurred before authoring or I would try a different authoring program.

After decryption, you can also use DVD Shrink to cut out clips, then use a authoring program to join them together for a final DVD. There would be no re-encoding involved unless you modify the clips in some way. But VideoReDo should work as well.

    And welcome to our forums.

    Hi Redwudz,

    Thank you.

Initialy I tested with few clips, so there is no Compression at all. An the problem seems to appear after the Authoring, because the Joined Mpeg is good. But the problem is only with Pulse DVD, so is not a Videoredo fault. (strange)

Actually, ConvertXtoDVD did a descent job "fixing" (I dont know how) the Morrissey and Queen Mpegs (I create source Mpegs from the DVD's Ripped files).

I Mixed "good" Mpegs (Frampton) with Morrissey and Quen with good Results.

But with Pink Floyd's Pulse, the problem still remain. When I author the DVD the Pulse Image goes at half speed (I think), go completly out of sync.

Are there another program that Fix the Mpeg Files,

    Thanks

    Antonio

  7. Possibly the problem is caused by different audio bitrates these DVDs may have. If so, you should not join cuts into single track. They have to be separated or you will have to convert the audio into the same bitrate/codec to use them all together as a single continuous movie.

I don't know what the problem is, but this thread is locked.
