Would you travel through time if you could?

So would you travel through time if it were possible?

It's tempting but I think I'd rather do it via web surfing or personal video camera link where I'm not personally at risk.
Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?

  2. If the future then count me in,you should add the questions future or past.
    BTW:has anyone seen Deja Vu?

  3. I'll let you know yesterday. See you there.

I would LOVE to go back and seize a few missed opportunities -- and buy certain stocks. It's probably best that we can't do such a thing...

I have a time machine. Unfortunately it's broken. Stop, Fast Forward, and Rewind no longer function.

I'd go back and stop this thread!!!

  12. I would love to go back in time, observe and learn. I have no interest in seeing the future, seems too depressing. Guess I'd rather go where I can't go instead of where I haven't been

Yeah, i'd love to go back in time, just in my lifetime, and meet people that are no longer here that i never got the chance to meet.....
    Maybe even before my lifetime.

  14. If you could go back in time (or forward) that would be very depressing, as that would mean that it is pre-ordained, and therefore et ergo sum man has no free will. Or I would go back and KILL the person who invented prwan Cocktail crisps before S/he thought of it.

I was thinking about that and the possibility of that altering the future. Wouldn't you owning those shares affect the availability of them to the ones who then helped alter the value of them now? Possibly making them useless for future you.

Only if they have steak, beer, and pretty girls in the time period I'm traveling to.

Yes I know ... I am quoting myself

After much thought I would have to bring Frank Miller's THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS with me. That would be the "book" I would pick.

If you say that is a "cheat" since it is not purely written words then I guess I would have to go with a collection of stories by H.P. Lovecraft. Something like this one ---> CLICK HERE

    - John "FulciLives" Coleman

    P.S.
I have many H.P. Lovecraft volumes but the one I linked to is supposedly the best collection of his stuff if you are only going to have one volume of his work. Ironically I don't have it but I probably have all the stories in it across all the volumes I do have.

    To read on the trip

Maybe this topic should be changed to 'What Book Would You BRing WIth You if You Travelled Back In Time?'
Because it got me thinking about what book I would bring. I would bring 'Lonesome Dove.'

If I wanted to screw things up I would bring many copies of 'History of the American People'

    And pass them out :P

I'd go only if I could travel back in time and change my personal history. There are several very bad choices that I'd like to stop myself from making.

Classic movie. Half assed remake. Bought the book but never read it

Well I'm glad I got a topic that got people talking

I agree with one of the previous posters - going as a ghost would be interesting - not directly interacting - so long as there would be no direct harm to me or the time line I'd be game but otherwise forget it.

Ah you caught me there. Yes. Terrific movie.

I would like to see Planet Earth in 3000AD. Just to see how far technology has progressed (interstellar tourism?). Also would like to go back to Palestine 0 AD to prove once and for all that Jesus was a fuckin' fairy-tale, like Santa Claus.

  30. Wow - Palestine 0 AD. Keeping my opinion totally to myself, if it were a fairy tale then there would be no AD.
