VIDEO_TS to iPod H.264 and subtitles

Hi,

I would like to VIDEO_TS from one DVD to iPod H.264 with one of the subtitles from the DVD.
Is that possible one of the subtitles to be inserted in the iPod file, so watching it on IPod to have also one of subtitles.

[Case]

The iPod/H.264 presets won't process VIDEO_TS folders, and it won't burn subtitles onto the video, so you'll have to do an extra step:

1/ Use a mencoder preset to convert from a VIDEO_TS folder and burn the subtitles onto the video.
I think you'll find out it works faster if you use XviD instead of H.264 in step 1, as well as setting the video size right for step 2 (640/480/320 wide), so that the scaling only happens once, and in an early stage. To keep as much quality as possible in step 1, set Qmin=Qmax=2 in the Options tab.

2/ Convert the output from step 1 using an iPod/H.264 preset.
