I just got magic bullet suite and I can't get all the presets to work. How do I get my video to convert to 24p. Can someone give some step by step instructions. Thank you.

DV Film Maker does an excellent 60i to 24p conversion, plus some film effects. It's only $149. and a standalone program.

Hope you have a render a farm, or at least a good DuOp or Xeon workstation setup. MB can take DAYS to render an hours worth of footage. Depending on of course what other effects you have on the time line.

Save yourself time and money, and get a true progressive cam to shoot with. The quality will be much higher than a software render. Then use a simple add grain, or film-look filter, to add the desired effect. Vegas and Premier have some built in examples to help guide to certain "film looks".

Magic Bullet is a great plug in, but I can't think of why a home user would want to put him/herself through that much punishment

11.5 hours for 2 minutes 20 seconds of footage from film looks and vegas 5. Careful use of primary and secondary colour correction and a good levels filter can mimic most of the 'Looks' filters in MB. Big Film FX can also produce pretty good results much faster, including letterboxing, and cinelook is also worth a look-see.

you can also use Celluloid for Vegas, which renders 10x faster than MB and does pretty well the same effects. It also has all the 24p conversions set up .
    MB IS extremely slow.

I wonder how much time some newbies will still need for discovering that
MS Paint can save as .GIF, .JPG and .PNG too.
