Divx Stops in middle of encoding!!!!

Whenever i try and convert an avi Divx file to mpg or even vcd the Divx picture freezes but the sound goes on. When it gets to this part of the movie the encoding stops and says there was an error. I have tried mnay things to correct this and have come up with nothing if anyone has any ideas please please let me know.

Try watching the Divx in virtualdub first if you get an error then most likely it is a frozen frame. you can fix it using avidefreeze(divxdefreeze) located under tools on this site. Once it is fixed then you can encode. read the tutorial located with the program it is easy to follow. This is my answer to most everything that has gone wrong with my encodes to this point.
