COby 224 Hack Problems

Hello,

I purchased a Coby 224, knowing from a friend the posted region hack works. Unfortunately, it didn't! This is apparently a 224ss, not the 224m or 224. Does anyone have any leads on how to hack this, or am I stuck with it.

Hi, I received the following info from Coby tech support:

Region Code Change for Coby DVD-224SS


NOTE: Make sure you DO NOT have a disk in the tray while performing the region code procedure



DVD224SS

1. Open the DVD tray

2. Press STOP button on the remote control

3. Press 70

4. Press MENU

5. Use the numeric keypad to select your region code number (0 – 6).



OR





DVD224 (224SS)

1. Open the DVD tray

2. Press STOP button of remote control

3. Press the digit number buttons “2008” of remote control.

4. Press MENU

Region code will appear, select your region code number.
