    when i burn onto a dual layer dvd disc there is major freezing of the movie between the two layers how can i prevent this

    1) Use better media. If you aren't using Verbatim DVD+R DL discs, you wasted your money.
    2) Burn with ImgBurn (it's free, so you have no excuse).
    3) Buy another DVD player as with some models, even if you do #1 and #2 you won't be able to stop this. I've even seen some players that will freeze on the layer change with commercially pressed discs.

    What model DVD burner do you have? I have a Pioneer DVR-115D exclusively for double layer DVD burning. Best $35 ever invested.

    I second jman98. I have seen commercial DVD that do this also.
    Use ImgBurn, it will let you choose a layer brake and you can pick one with little motion or scene change so some delay will not bother and player does not have to process lots of data at that time.
