Yes i Was wondering if there was a program that would burn already converted mpeg movies to a dvd disk and that would play in a dvd player

You have to author them first. If they are DVD compliant then you can use GUIforDVDAuthor, DVD Styler or similar to do this. All are free.
If they are not compliant then you will have to re-encoding them first. FAVC or DVD Flick can be used for this.Read my blog here.
