svcd lines

i am using tmpgenc but when i make a bigger size i get small lines all across the screen how can get rid of this

Interlacing? I don't know alot about it since i'm from europe But, try some deinterlacing, and look at the preview to get prober results

Just as an additional tip ............

If it is an interlace problem (which is what it sounds like to me), VirtualDub has some of the best 'de-interlace' and 'bob field' filters going!

Depending on your source video, you may have to convert it to an AVI file before you can use it in VDub.
(although you can use AVISynth to get almost any file format into VirtualDub ...... but that's beyond this thread! )
