I have a Panasonic AG-HVx200 that came with an Azden WMS-PRO wireless lav. I can't figure out how to use the wireless lav witht he camera. Are these two compatible? Do I need a converter? If not....what kind of wireless mic can I use with the AG-HVx200? THANKS!

I think your problem may be that the mic inputs are xlr & the Azden has a mini connection. If that is the case then yes you will need an adapter. Any good professional Audio/Video supplier should be able to supply you with the right adapter. B & H is one that comes to mind. I've dealt with them in the past & they seem to have just about everything, or possibly the dealer you got the camera from, but I'm kinda surprised that they would sell you a mic system that is not compatible with your camera. Actually, the mic is compatible, just the connectors aren't. I would have thought that your supplier would have included that with the setup when you bought it.

A Panasonic AG-HVx200 is a $6000 (plus P2 cards) DVCProHD pro camcorder. The Azden WMS-PRO $100 wireless lav is something you would buy to tape your sisters wedding with a Hi8.

You would need to build or buy a Hi Z mini mic to XLR adapter and switch the HVX input from balanced low to Hi Z.

Explain what you are trying to do. Or go to any GuitarCenter or Radio Shack for a consumer Low Z 600 ohm XLR mic solution.

Similar to this but with mono mini jack on the other end. Switch mic input to high impedance.
