I'm trying to use Windvd creator 2 to make a dvd from video I'm capturing from a camcorder. My version of WinDVD came with my HP laptop that does not have a DVD burner. However, I have another computer with a DVD burner but not the firewire port or software. I'm planning on making the DVD on the laptop, saving it as a disc image, and copying it to my computer to burn it. Unfortunately, I can only select "vcd" on the burn/save menu. Any way I can fix this?

You may have a crippled OEM version that only produces VCD, in which case your best option would be to output the video as DV avi, then encode and author using something else. FAVC or DVD Flick are simple to use and will give you a DVD structure as output.

    Thanks, guns1inger!
I was wondering if there's a freeware program that would allow me to create a fancy DVD menu like WinDVD does?
